Surah Az-Zalzalah 1-8
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
1. إِذَا زُلْزِلَتِ الْأَرْضُ زِلْزَالَهَا
2. وَأَخْرَجَتِ الْأَرْضُ أَثْقَالَهَا
3. وَقَالَ الْإِنْسَانُ مَا لَهَا
4. يَوْمَئِذٍ تُحَدِّثُ أَخْبَارَهَا
5. بِأَنَّ رَبَّكَ أَوْحَىٰ لَهَا
6. يَوْمَئِذٍ يَصْدُرُ النَّاسُ أَشْتَاتًا لِيُرَوْا أَعْمَالَهُمْ
7. فَمَنْ يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ خَيْرًا يَرَهُ
8. وَمَنْ يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ شَرًّا يَرَهُ

- Izaa zul zilatil ardu zil zaalaha
- Wa akh rajatil ardu athqaalaha
- Wa qaalal insaanu ma laha
- Yawmaa izin tuhaddithu akhbaaraha
- Bi-anna rabbaka awhaa laha
- Yawma iziny yas durun naasu ash tatal liyuraw a’maalahum
- Famaiy ya’mal mithqala zarratin khai raiy-yarah
- Wa maiy-y’amal mithqala zarratin sharraiy-yarah

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
- When the earth is shaken to her (utmost) convulsion,
- And the earth throws up her burdens (from within),
- And man cries (distressed): �What is the matter with her?�-
- On that Day will she declare her tidings:
- For that thy Lord will have given her inspiration.
- On that Day will men proceed in companies sorted out, to be shown the deeds that they (had done).
- Then shall anyone who has done an atom�s weight of good, see it!
- And anyone who has done an atom�s weight of evil, shall see it.

This Surah was revealed in Madinah and it has 8 ayaat. It is narrated from Imam Ja’far as-Sadiq (a.s.) that whoever recites this Surah in his nawafıl (recommended) prayers will not die as a result of an earthquake and will be saved from all the natural calamities.
The experience of death is made easy for the one who recites this Surah and he sees the light of Jannah as he is about to die. Then, seventy thousand angels accompany his soul to the heavens. Keeping this Surah in one’s possession is a safety from tyrant rulers
