Surah Masad
Surah Lahab which is also known as Surah Al-Masad. This is the one hundred and eleventh surah of the Holy Quran. This is an excellent example Surah of five verses. It is located in the last chapters of the Holy Quran.
This surah is very important in its message. Lahab means that he was uncle of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). This surah was revealed primarily in condemnation of Abu Lahab and his wife Umm Jameel. And there is a warning for those who oppose or ridicule the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
1. تَبَّتْ يَدَا أَبِي لَهَبٍ وَتَبَّ
2. مَا أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُ مَالُهُ وَمَا كَسَبَ
3. سَيَصْلَىٰ نَارًا ذَاتَ لَهَبٍ
4. وَامْرَأَتُهُ حَمَّالَةَ الْحَطَبِ
5. فِي جِيدِهَا حَبْلٌ مِنْ مَسَدٍ

- Tabbat yadaa abee Lahabinw-wa tabb

شروع اللہ کے نام سے جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم والا ہے…
“ٹوٹ گئے ابو لہب کے ہاتھ اور نامراد ہوگیا وہ۔ اُس کا مال اور جو کچھ اس نے کمایا وہ اُس کے کسی کام نہ آیا۔ ضرور وہ شُعلہ زن آگ میں ڈالا جائے گا اور (اُس کے ساتھ) اُس کی جورُو بھی، لگائی بُجھائی کرنے والی، اُس کی گردن میں مونجھ کی رسّی ہو گی۔

Surah Lahab In English
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
- Perish the hands of the Father of Flame! Perish he!
- No profit to him from all his wealth, and all his gains!
- Burnt soon will he be in a Fire of Blazing Flame!
- His wife shall carry the (crackling) wood – As fuel!-
- A twisted rope of palm-leaf fibre round her (own) neck!

1. It is narrated that recitation of this Surah is good for relieving back pains and reciting it before sleeping keeps one safe in the night.
2. Surah is the best solution to protection from enemies of faith, wrongdoers, and evil-minded persons.
3. If recited seven times a day, one can save themselves from their enemy.
4. If you have to confront an enemy bent on harming you for no reason, you can recite Surah. Inshaallah the enemy will avoid you.
