Surah Al Takasur
The Quran Wazaif Provides the Facility to recite different wazaifs and surahs. Surah Takasur was revealed during the early years of the Prophet’s mission in Mecca. The main purpose of this surah was to point out the human tendency towards material accumulation and worldly competition.

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
1. أَلْهَاكُمُ التَّكَاثُرُ
2. حَتَّىٰ زُرْتُمُ الْمَقَابِرَ
3. كَلَّا سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ
4. ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ
5. كَلَّا لَوْ تَعْلَمُونَ عِلْمَ الْيَقِينِ
6. لَتَرَوُنَّ الْجَحِيمَ
7. ثُمَّ لَتَرَوُنَّهَا عَيْنَ الْيَقِينِ
8. ثُمَّ لَتُسْأَلُنَّ يَوْمَئِذٍ عَنِ النَّعِيمِ

- Hatta zurtumul-maqaabir
- Kalla sawfa ta’lamoon

تمہیں غافل کیے رکھا ہے بہتات کی طلب نے !
یہاں تک کہ تم قبروں کو پہنچ جاتے ہو۔
کوئی بات نہیں ! بہت جلد تمہیں معلوم ہوجائے گا۔
پھر کوئی بات نہیں ! بہت جلد تمہیں معلوم ہوجائے گا۔
کوئی بات نہیں ! کاش کہ تم علم یقین کے ساتھ جان جاتے !
تم جہنم کو دیکھ کر رہو گے۔
پھر تم اس کو عین الیقین کے ساتھ دیکھو گے۔
پھر اس دن تم سے ضرور پوچھا جائے گا نعمتوں کے بارے میں۔
Surah Takasur in English
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
- The mutual rivalry for piling up (the good things of this world) diverts you (from the more serious things),
- Until ye visit the graves.
- But nay, ye soon shall know (the reality).
- Again, ye soon shall know!
- Nay, were ye to know with certainty of mind, (ye would beware!)
- Ye shall certainly see Hell-Fire!
- Again, ye shall see it with certainty of sight!
- Then, shall ye be questioned that Day about the joy (ye indulged in!).
