Surah Muzammil Full Arabic
بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
یٰۤاَیُّهَا الْمُزَّمِّلُۙ(۱) قُمِ الَّیْلَ اِلَّا قَلِیْلًاۙ(۲) نِّصْفَهٗۤ اَوِ انْقُصْ مِنْهُ قَلِیْلًاۙ(۳) اَوْ زِدْ عَلَیْهِ وَ رَتِّلِ الْقُرْاٰنَ تَرْتِیْلًاؕ(۴) اِنَّا سَنُلْقِیْ عَلَیْكَ قَوْلًا ثَقِیْلًا(۵) اِنَّ نَاشِئَةَ الَّیْلِ هِیَ اَشَدُّ وَطْاً وَّ اَقْوَمُ قِیْلًاؕ(۶) اِنَّ لَكَ فِی النَّهَارِ سَبْحًا طَوِیْلًاؕ(۷) وَ اذْكُرِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ وَ تَبَتَّلْ اِلَیْهِ تَبْتِیْلًاؕ(۸) رَبُّ الْمَشْرِقِ وَ الْمَغْرِبِ لَاۤ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَ فَاتَّخِذْهُ وَكِیْلًا(۹) وَ اصْبِرْ عَلٰى مَا یَقُوْلُوْنَ وَ اهْجُرْهُمْ هَجْرًا جَمِیْلًا(۱۰) وَ ذَرْنِیْ وَ الْمُكَذِّبِیْنَ اُولِی النَّعْمَةِ وَ مَهِّلْهُمْ قَلِیْلًا(۱۱) اِنَّ لَدَیْنَاۤ اَنْكَالًا وَّ جَحِیْمًاۙ(۱۲) وَّ طَعَامًا ذَا غُصَّةٍ وَّ عَذَابًا اَلِیْمًاۗ(۱۳) یَوْمَ تَرْجُفُ الْاَرْضُ وَ الْجِبَالُ وَ كَانَتِ الْجِبَالُ كَثِیْبًا مَّهِیْلًا(۱۴) اِنَّاۤ اَرْسَلْنَاۤ اِلَیْكُمْ رَسُوْلًا ﳔ شَاهِدًا عَلَیْكُمْ كَمَاۤ اَرْسَلْنَاۤ اِلٰى فِرْعَوْنَ رَسُوْلًاؕ(۱۵) فَعَصٰى فِرْعَوْنُ الرَّسُوْلَ فَاَخَذْنٰهُ اَخْذًا وَّبِیْلًا(۱۶) فَكَیْفَ تَتَّقُوْنَ اِنْ كَفَرْتُمْ یَوْمًا یَّجْعَلُ الْوِلْدَانَ شِیْبَاۗۖﰳ(۱۷) السَّمَآءُ مُنْفَطِرٌۢ بِهٖؕ-كَانَ وَعْدُهٗ مَفْعُوْلًا(۱۸) اِنَّ هٰذِهٖ تَذْكِرَةٌۚ-فَمَنْ شَآءَ اتَّخَذَ اِلٰى رَبِّهٖ سَبِیْلًا۠(۱۹) اِنَّ رَبَّكَ یَعْلَمُ اَنَّكَ تَقُوْمُ اَدْنٰى مِنْ ثُلُثَیِ الَّیْلِ وَ نِصْفَهٗ وَ ثُلُثَهٗ وَ طَآىٕفَةٌ مِّنَ الَّذِیْنَ مَعَكَؕ-وَ اللّٰهُ یُقَدِّرُ الَّیْلَ وَ النَّهَارَؕ-عَلِمَ اَنْ لَّنْ تُحْصُوْهُ فَتَابَ عَلَیْكُمْ فَاقْرَءُوْا مَا تَیَسَّرَ مِنَ الْقُرْاٰنِؕ-عَلِمَ اَنْ سَیَكُوْنُ مِنْكُمْ مَّرْضٰىۙ-وَ اٰخَرُوْنَ یَضْرِبُوْنَ فِی الْاَرْضِ یَبْتَغُوْنَ مِنْ فَضْلِ اللّٰهِۙ-وَ اٰخَرُوْنَ یُقَاتِلُوْنَ فِیْ سَبِیْلِ اللّٰهِ ﳲ فَاقْرَءُوْا مَا تَیَسَّرَ مِنْهُۙ-وَ اَقِیْمُوا الصَّلٰوةَ وَ اٰتُوا الزَّكٰوةَ وَ اَقْرِضُوا اللّٰهَ قَرْضًا حَسَنًاؕ-وَ مَا تُقَدِّمُوْا لِاَنْفُسِكُمْ مِّنْ خَیْرٍ تَجِدُوْهُ عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ هُوَ خَیْرًا وَّ اَعْظَمَ اَجْرًاؕ-وَ اسْتَغْفِرُوا اللّٰهَؕ-اِنَّ اللّٰهَ غَفُوْرٌ رَّحِیْمٌ۠(۲۰)

اللہ کے نام سے شروع جو نہایت مہربان ، رحمت والاہے ۔
اے چادر اوڑھنے والے۔
رات کے تھوڑے سے حصے کے سوا قیام کرو۔
آدھی رات (قیام کرو) یا اس سے کچھ کم کرلو۔
یا اس پر کچھ اضافہ کرلو اور قرآن خوب ٹھہر ٹھہر کر پڑھو۔
بیشک عنقریب ہم تم پر ایک بھاری بات ڈالیں گے۔
بیشک رات کو قیام کرنا زیادہ موافقت کا سبب ہے اور بات خوب سیدھی نکلتی ہے۔
بیشک دن میں تو تمہیں بہت سے کام ہیں ۔
اور اپنے رب کا نام یاد کرو اور سب سے ٹوٹ کر اُسی کے بنے رہو۔
وہ مشرق اور مغرب کا رب ہے، اس کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں تو تم اسی کو اپنا کارساز بناؤ۔ اور کافروں کی باتوں پر صبر کرو اور انہیں اچھی طرح چھوڑ دو۔
اور ان جھٹلانے والے مالداروں کومجھ پر چھوڑو اور انہیں تھوڑی مہلت دو۔
بیشک ہمارے پاس بھاری بیڑیاں اور بھڑکتی آگ ہے۔
اور گلے میں پھنسنے والاکھانا اور دردناک عذاب ہے۔
جس دن زمین اور پہاڑ تھرتھرائیں گے اور پہاڑ ریت کا بہتا ہوا ٹیلہ ہوجائیں گے ۔
بیشک ہم نے تمہاری طرف ایک رسول بھیجے جوتم پر گواہ ہیں جیسے ہم نے فرعون کی طرف ایک رسول بھیجے۔
تو فرعون نے اس رسول کا حکم نہ مانا تو ہم نے اسے سخت گرفت سے پکڑا۔
پھر اگر تم کفر کروتو اس دن کیسے بچو گے جو بچوں کو بوڑھا کردے گا۔
آسمان اس کی وجہ سے پھٹ جائے گا، اللہ کا وعدہ ہوکر رہناہے۔
بیشک یہ ایک نصیحت ہے، تو جو چاہے اپنے رب کی طرف راستہ اختیار کرے۔
بیشک تمہارا رب جانتا ہے کہ تم اور تمہارے ساتھیوں میں سے ایک جماعت کبھی دو تہائی رات کے قریب قیام کرتی ہے اور کبھی آدھی رات اور کبھی ایک تہائی رات ۔اور اللہ رات اور دن کا اندازہ فرماتا ہے، اسے معلوم ہے کہ( اے مسلمانو!) تم ساری رات قیام نہیں کرسکو گے تو اس نے اپنی مہربانی سے تم پر رجوع فرمایا اب قرآن میں سے جتنا آسان ہو اتنا پڑھو۔ اسے معلوم ہے کہ عنقریب تم میں سے کچھ لوگ بیمار ہوں گے اور کچھ زمین میں اللہ کا فضل تلاش کرنے کیلئے سفر کریں گے اور کچھ اللہ کی راہ میں لڑتے ہوں گے تو جتنا قرآن آسان ہو پڑھو اور نماز قائم رکھو اور زکوٰۃ دو اور اللہ کو اچھا قرض دو اور اپنے لیے جو بھلائی تم آگے بھیجو گے اسے اللہ کے پاس بہتر اور بڑے ثواب کی پاؤ گے اور اللہ سے بخشش مانگو، بیشک اللہ بہت بخشنے والا بڑامہربان ہے۔

Beginning with the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Merciful.
- O cloak-wearers.
- Stay overnight except for a small part of the night.
- (Stand up) at midnight or less.

- Verily, We will soon impose upon you a heavy thing.
- Indeed, staying at night is the cause of more adaptation and the matter comes out very straight.
- Surely you have many things to do during the day.
- And remember the name of your Lord and break away from everything and become His.
- He is the Lord of the East and the West, there is no god but Him, so make Him your ruler.
- And be patient with the words of the disbelievers and leave them well.
- And leave these denying rich people to me and give them a little respite.
- Indeed, we have heavy chains and a blazing fire.
- And there is food stuck in the throat and a painful punishment.
- The day when the earth and the mountains will tremble and the mountains will become sand dunes.
- Verily, We have sent to you a Messenger as a witness against you, just as We sent a Messenger to Pharaoh.
- So Pharaoh disobeyed the order of this Messenger, so We caught him with a firm grip.
- Then if you disbelieve, how will you be saved on the day when children will grow old?
- The sky will burst because of it, God’s promise is to be fulfilled.
- Verily, this is an admonition, so whoever wills should take the path to his Lord.
- Indeed, your Lord knows that a group of you and your companions sometimes stays up for two-thirds of the night, sometimes half of the night, and sometimes one-third of the night. And Allah measures the night and the day, He knows that !) You will not be able to stay up all night, so he turned to you with his kindness and said: Now read as much of the Qur’an as is easy for you. He knows that soon some of you will be sick, and some will travel in the land to seek the grace of Allah, and some will fight in the way of Allah, so recite the Qur’an as much as is easy, and establish prayer, and give zakat, and Allah. Give a good loan to him, and whatever good you send forward for yourself, you will find with Allah a better and greater reward, and ask Allah for forgiveness. Indeed, Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

ऐ (मेरे) चादर लपेटे रसूल (1)
रात को (नमाज़ के वास्ते) खड़े रहो मगर (पूरी रात नहीं) (2)
थोड़ी रात या आधी रात या इससे भी कुछ कम कर दो या उससे कुछ बढ़ा दो (3)
और क़ुरान को बाक़ायदा ठहर ठहर कर पढ़ा करो (4)
हम अनक़रीब तुम पर एक भारी हुक्म नाज़िल करेंगे इसमें शक़ नहीं कि रात को उठना (5)
ख़ूब (नफ्स का) पामाल करना और बहुत ठिकाने से ज़िक्र का वक्त है (6)
दिन को तो तुम्हारे बहुत बड़े बड़े अशग़ाल हैं (7)
तो तुम अपने परवरदिगार के नाम का ज़िक्र करो और सबसे टूट कर उसी के हो रहो (8)
(वही) मशरिक और मग़रिब का मालिक है उसके सिवा कोई माबूद नहीं तो तुम उसी को कारसाज़ बनाओ (9)
और जो कुछ लोग बका करते हैं उस पर सब्र करो और उनसे बा उनवाने शाएस्ता अलग थलग रहो (10)
और मुझे उन झुठलाने वालों से जो दौलतमन्द हैं समझ लेने दो और उनको थोड़ी सी मोहलत दे दो (11)
बेशक हमारे पास बेड़ियाँ (भी) हैं और जलाने वाली आग (भी) (12)
और गले में फँसने वाला खाना (भी) और दुख देने वाला अज़ाब (भी) (13)
जिस दिन ज़मीन और पहाड़ लरज़ने लगेंगे और पहाड़ रेत के टीले से भुर भुरे हो जाएँगे (14)
(ऐ मक्का वालों) हमने तुम्हारे पास (उसी तरह) एक रसूल (मोहम्मद) को भेजा जो तुम्हारे मामले में गवाही दे जिस तरह फिरऔन के पास एक रसूल (मूसा) को भेजा था (15)
तो फिरऔन ने उस रसूल की नाफ़रमानी की तो हमने भी (उसकी सज़ा में) उसको बहुत सख्त पकड़ा (16)
तो अगर तुम भी न मानोगे तो उस दिन (के अज़ाब) से क्यों कर बचोगे जो बच्चों को बूढ़ा बना देगा (17)
जिस दिन आसमान फट पड़ेगा (ये) उसका वायदा पूरा होकर रहेगा (18)
बेशक ये नसीहत है तो जो शख़्श चाहे अपने परवरदिगार की राह एख्तेयार करे (19)
(ऐ रसूल) तुम्हारा परवरदिगार चाहता है कि तुम और तुम्हारे चन्द साथ के लोग (कभी) दो तिहाई रात के करीब और (कभी) आधी रात और (कभी) तिहाई रात (नमाज़ में) खड़े रहते हो और ख़ुदा ही रात और दिन का अच्छी तरह अन्दाज़ा कर सकता है उसे मालूम है कि तुम लोग उस पर पूरी तरह से हावी नहीं हो सकते तो उसने तुम पर मेहरबानी की तो जितना आसानी से हो सके उतना (नमाज़ में) क़ुरान पढ़ लिया करो
और वह जानता है कि अनक़रीब तुममें से बाज़ बीमार हो जाएँगे और बाज़ ख़ुदा के फ़ज़ल की तलाश में रूए ज़मीन पर सफर एख्तेयार करेंगे और कुछ लोग ख़ुदा की राह में जेहाद करेंगे तो जितना तुम आसानी से हो सके पढ़ लिया करो और नमाज़ पाबन्दी से पढ़ो और ज़कात देते रहो और ख़ुदा को कर्ज़े हसना दो और जो नेक अमल अपने वास्ते (ख़ुदा के सामने) पेश करोगे उसको ख़ुदा के हाँ बेहतर और सिले में बुर्ज़ुग तर पाओगे और ख़ुदा से मग़फेरत की दुआ माँगो बेशक ख़ुदा बड़ा बख्शने वाला मेहरबान है (20)
Virtues of reciting Surah Muzamil
It is written in Tafsir al-Bayan and Kitab Fawad al-Qur’an that the Messenger of God said that the one who recites Surah Manzil daily with strictness, then Allah, the All-Almighty of Religion and the Hereafter, will remove the narrowness and anxiety of both the place and the hereafter.
Hazrat Imam Muhammad Baqir (peace be upon him) said that the one who recites this Surah daily. There will be no need for anything. Among the benefits of this surah, Misbah al-Abidin has also written a hadith in this way that a person who is suffering from scarcity of sustenance and wants his sustenance to increase quickly should pray after Isha prayer at eleven with Rasura Muzamil to ward off hardship.
