Darood Lakhi (Darood Hajat)
Darood Lakhi or Durood Hajat, if you read it once. So it is called a thousandfold greeting. It is a prayer from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Which is attributed to the ruler Sultan Mahmud Ghaznavi. Sultan Mahmud used to recite 1000 Duroods on the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) every morning and evening with great humility and sincerity.
As he spent much of his time in worship, parts of his empire suffered as a result of neglect. One night he fell asleep and saw the Holy Prophet in his dream. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) taught this prayer to the Sultan. And he said that read it after the Fajr prayer, its reward is equal to a thousand times reciting.

اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ عَلَىٰ سَيِّدِنَا وَمَوْلَانَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَىٰ آلِ سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ بِعَدَدِ رَحْمَةِ اللهِ ❁
Allāhumma ṣalli wa sallim ʿalā Sayyidinā wa Mawlāna Muḥammadin wa ʿalā āli Sayyidinā Muḥammadin bi ʿadadi raḥmati Llāh
1. O Allah, send blessings and peace upon our master and patron Muhammad and upon the family of our master Muhammad by the amount of the mercy of Allah
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ عَلَىٰ سَيِّدِنَا وَمَوْلَانَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَىٰ آلِ سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ بِعَدَدِ فَضْلِ اللهِ ❁
Allāhumma ṣalli wa sallim ʿalā Sayyidinā wa Mawlāna Muḥammadin wa ʿalā āli Sayyidinā Muḥammadin bi ʿadadi faḍli Llāh
2. O Allah, send blessings and peace upon our master and patron Muhammad and upon the family of our master Muhammad by the number of the graces of Allah
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ عَلَىٰ سَيِّدِنَا وَمَوْلَانَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَىٰ آلِ سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ بِعَدَدِ خَلْقِ اللهِ ❁
Allāhumma ṣalli wa sallim ʿalā Sayyidinā wa Mawlāna Muḥammadin wa ʿalā āli Sayyidinā Muḥammadin bi ʿadadi khalqi Llāh
3. O Allah, send blessings and peace upon our master and patron Muhammad and upon the family of our master Muhammad by the number of the creation of Allah
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ عَلَىٰ سَيِّدِنَا وَمَوْلَانَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَىٰ آلِ سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ بِعَدَدِ عِلْمِ اللهِ ❁
Allāhumma ṣalli wa sallim ʿalā Sayyidinā wa Mawlāna Muḥammadin wa ʿalā āli Sayyidinā Muḥammadin bi ʿadadi ʿilmi Llāh
4. O Allah, send blessings and peace upon our master and patron Muhammad and upon the family of our master Muhammad by the amount of the knowledge of Allah
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ عَلَىٰ سَيِّدِنَا وَمَوْلَانَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَىٰ آلِ سَيِّدِنَا وَمَوْلَانَا مُحَمَّدٍ بِعَدَدِ كَلِمَاتِ اللهِ❁
Allāhumma ṣalli wa sallim ʿalā Sayyidinā wa Mawlāna Muḥammadin wa ʿalā āli Sayyidinā Muḥammadin bi ʿadadi kalimāti Llāh
5. O Allah, send blessings and peace upon our master and patron Muhammad and upon the family of our master Muhammad by the number of the words of Allah
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ عَلَىٰ سَيِّدِنَا وَمَوْلَانَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَىٰ آلِ سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ بِعَدَدِ كَرَمِ اللهِ ❁
Allāhumma ṣalli wa sallim ʿalā Sayyidinā wa Mawlāna Muḥammadin wa ʿalā āli Sayyidinā Muḥammadin bi ʿadadi karami Llāh
6. O Allah, send blessings and peace upon our master and patron Muhammad and upon the family of our master Muhammad by the amount of the generosity of Allah
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ عَلَىٰ سَيِّدِنَا وَمَوْلَانَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَىٰ آلِ سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ بِعَدَدِ حُرُوفِ كَلامِ اللهِ ❁
Allāhumma ṣalli wa sallim ʿalā Sayyidinā wa Mawlāna Muḥammadin wa ʿalā āli Sayyidinā Muḥammadin bi ʿadadi ḥurūfi kalāmi Llāh
7. O Allah, send blessings and peace upon our master and patron Muhammad and upon the family of our master Muhammad by the number of the letters of the words of Allah
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ عَلَىٰ سَيِّدِنَا وَمَوْلَانَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَىٰ آلِ سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ بِعَدَدِ قَطَرَاتِ الْأَمْطَارِ ❁
Allāhumma ṣalli wa sallim ʿalā Sayyidinā wa Mawlāna Muḥammadin wa ʿalā āli Sayyidinā Muḥammadin bi ʿadadi qaṭarāti l-amṭār
8. O Allah, send blessings and peace upon our master and patron Muhammad and upon the family of our master Muhammad by the number of the drops of rain
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ عَلَىٰ سَيِّدِنَا وَمَوْلَانَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَىٰ آلِ سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ بِعَدَدِ أَوْرَاقَ الْأَشْجَارِ ❁
Allāhumma ṣalli wa sallim ʿalā Sayyidinā wa Mawlāna Muḥammadin wa ʿalā āli Sayyidinā Muḥammadin bi ʿadadi awrāqi l-ashjār
9. O Allah, send blessings and peace upon our master and patron Muhammad and upon the family of our master Muhammad by the number of the leaves upon trees
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ عَلَىٰ سَيِّدِنَا وَمَوْلَانَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَىٰ آلِ سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ بِعَدَدِ رَمْلِ الْقِفَارِ❁
Allāhumma ṣalli wa sallim ʿalā Sayyidinā wa Mawlāna Muḥammadin wa ʿalā āli Sayyidinā Muḥammadin bi ʿadadi ramli l-qifār
10. O Allah, send blessings and peace upon our master and patron Muhammad and upon the family of our master Muhammad by the number of the grains and pebbles contained within every desert and every wasteland
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ عَلَىٰ سَيِّدِنَا وَمَوْلَانَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَىٰ آلِ سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ بِعَدَدِ مَا خُلِقَ فِي الْبِحَارِ ❁
Allāhumma ṣalli wa sallim ʿalā Sayyidinā wa Mawlāna Muḥammadin wa ʿalā āli Sayyidinā Muḥammadin bi ʿadadi khuliqa fi l-bihār
11. O Allah, send blessings and peace upon our master and patron Muhammad and upon the family of our master Muhammad by the number of the things that have been created within the oceans
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ عَلَىٰ سَيِّدِنَا وَمَوْلَانَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَىٰ آلِ سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ بِعَدَدِ الْحُبُوبِ وَالثِّمَارِ ❁
Allāhumma ṣalli wa sallim ʿalā Sayyidinā wa Mawlāna Muḥammadin wa ʿalā āli Sayyidinā Muḥammadin bi ʿadadi l-ḥubūbi wa th-thimār
12. O Allah, send blessings and peace upon our master and patron Muhammad and upon the family of our master Muhammad by the number of the seeds and fruits
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ عَلَىٰ سَيِّدِنَا وَمَوْلَانَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَىٰ آلِ سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ بِعَدَدِ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ ❁
Allāhumma ṣalli wa sallim ʿalā Sayyidinā wa Mawlāna Muḥammadin wa ʿalā āli Sayyidinā Muḥammadin bi ʿadadi l-layli wa n-nahār
13. O Allah, send blessings and peace upon our master and patron Muhammad and upon the family of our master Muhammad by the number of nights and days
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ عَلَىٰ سَيِّدِنَا وَمَوْلَانَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَىٰ آلِ سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ بِعَدَدِ مَا أَظْلَمَ عَلَيْهِ اللَّيْلُ وَأَشْرَقَ عَلَيْهِ النَّهَارِ ❁
Allāhumma ṣalli wa sallim ʿalā Sayyidinā wa Mawlāna Muḥammadin wa ʿalā āli Sayyidinā Muḥammadin bi ʿadadi mā aẓlama ʿalayhi l-laylu wa ashraqu ʿalayhi n-nahār
14. O Allah, send blessings and peace upon our master and patron Muhammad and upon the family of our master Muhammad by the number of things which the night enshrouds and the day shines upon
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ عَلَىٰ سَيِّدِنَا وَمَوْلَانَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَىٰ آلِ سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ بِعَدَدِ مَنْ صَلَّى عَلَيْهِ ❁
Allāhumma ṣalli wa sallim ʿalā Sayyidinā wa Mawlāna Muḥammadin wa ʿalā āli Sayyidinā Muḥammadin bi ʿadadi man ṣalla ʿalayhi
15. O Allah, send blessings and peace upon our master and patron Muhammad and upon the family of our master Muhammad by the number of those who have sent blessings upon him
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ عَلَىٰ سَيِّدِنَا وَمَوْلَانَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَىٰ آلِ سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ بِعَدَدِ مَنْ لَمْ يُصَلِّ عَلَيْهِ ❁
Allāhumma ṣalli wa sallim ʿalā Sayyidinā wa Mawlāna Muḥammadin wa ʿalā āli Sayyidinā Muḥammadin bi ʿadadi man lam yuṣalli ʿalayhi
16. O Allah, send blessings and peace upon our master and patron Muhammad and upon the family of our master Muhammad by the number of those who have not sent blessings upon him
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ عَلَىٰ سَيِّدِنَا وَمَوْلَانَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَىٰ آلِ سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ بِعَدَدِ أَنْفَاسِ الْخَلَآئِقِ ❁
Allāhumma ṣalli wa sallim ʿalā Sayyidinā wa Mawlāna Muḥammadin wa ʿalā āli Sayyidinā Muḥammadin bi ʿadadi anfāsi l-khalā’iq
17. O Allah, send blessings and peace upon our master and patron Muhammad and upon the family of our master Muhammad by the number of the breaths that the creation has taken
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ عَلَىٰ سَيِّدِنَا وَمَوْلَانَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَىٰ آلِ سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ بِعَدَدِ نُجُومِ السَّمَوَاتِ ❁
Allāhumma ṣalli wa sallim ʿalā Sayyidinā wa Mawlāna Muḥammadin wa ʿalā āli Sayyidinā Muḥammadin bi ʿadadi nujūmi s-samawāt
18. O Allah, send blessings and peace upon our master and patron Muhammad and upon the family of our master Muhammad by the number of the stars within the heavens
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ عَلَىٰ سَيِّدِنَا وَمَوْلَانَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَىٰ آلِ سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ بِعَدَدِ كُلِّ شَيْىءٍ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ ❁
Allāhumma ṣalli wa sallim ʿalā Sayyidinā wa Mawlāna Muḥammadin wa ʿalā āli Sayyidinā Muḥammadin bi ʿadadi kulli shay’in fi d-dunya wa l-ākhirah
19. O Allah, send blessings and peace upon our master and patron Muhammad and upon the family of our master Muhammad by the number of all the things within the world and the afterlife
صَلَوَاتُ اللهِ تَعَالَى وَمَلَآئِكَتِهِ وَأَنْبِيَآئِهِ وَرُسُلِهِ وَجَمِيعِ الْخَلَآئِقِ عَلَىٰ سَيِّدِ الْمُرْسَلِينَ وَإِمَامُ الْمُتَّقِينَ وَقَائِدُ الْغُرِّ الْمُحَجَّلِينَ وَشَفِيعِ الْمُذْنِبِينَ سَيِّدِنَا وَمَوْلَانَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَىٰ آلِهِ وَأَصْحَابِهِ وَأَزْوَاجِهِ وَذُرِّيَّتِهِ وَأَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ وَأَهْلِ طَاعَتِكَ أَجْمَعِينَ مِنْ أَهْلِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرَضِينَ بِرَحْمَتِكَ يآ اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ وَ يآ اكْرَمَ الْأَكْرَمِينَ ❁
Ṣalawātu Llāhi taʿāla wa malā’ikatihi wa anbiyā’ihi wa rusulihi wa jamīʿi khalā’iqi ʿalā sayyidi l-mursalīna wa imami l-muttaqīna wa qā’idi l-ghurri l-muḥajjilīna wa shafīʿi l-mudhnibīna Sayyidinā wa Mawlāna Muḥammadin wa ʿalā ālihi wa aṣḥābihi wa azwājihi wa dhurrīyyatihi wa ahli baytihi wa ahli ṭāʿatika ajmāʿina min ahli s-samāwāti wa-l arḍīna bi raḥmatika yā arḥama r-raḥimīna, wa yā akrama l-akramīna
20. May the blessings of Allah the Exalted, His angels, prophets, messengers and the rest of creation be upon the Master of all the messengers, the Imam of the pious, the Leader of those who charge nobly into battle, the Intercessor of sinners, our master and patron Muhammad and upon his family, companions, wives, children, the people of his house, the people of obedience from the those who dwell in the heavens and those upon the earth, by Your mercy, O most Merciful of the merciful and the most Generous of the generous
وَصَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالَى عَلَىٰ سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ وَأَصْحَابِهِ أَجْمَعِينَ وَسَلِّمْ تَسْلِيمًا دَائِمًا أَبَدًا كَثِيرًا كَثِيرًا وَالْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ ❁
Wa ṣalla Llāhu taʿāla ʿalā Sayyidinā Muḥammadin wa ālihi wa aṣḥābihi ajmāʿina wa sallim taslīman dā’iman abadan kathīran kathīran wa l-ḥamdu li Llāhi rabbi l-ʿālamīn
21. May the blessings of Allah the Exalted be upon our master Muhammad, his family, companions with abundant peace for all eternity and throughout all time. And praise be to Allah Lord of all the worlds.
